ARTIST STATEMENT:

    Art is the exhalation of the soul. Mediating the idea to the material world is a process that requires, time, effort, imagination and experience. It is my intent to evolve my work into an experience beyond simply something to look at, but something that invites and inspires viewers to touch and feel them. Through a variety of media including steel, concrete, plaster, clay, plastics etc, it is my goal to create objects that invoke an experience. 

BIOGRAPHY:

  Ben McCullough was born and raised in Houston Texas. Most of   his early activities related to his parents influence as a scientist and a math major. Early activities in the art consisted of drawing, photography, and wood construction. After leaving a program in Florence, Italy, McCullough directed his creative activities towards learning sculpture at the Kansas City Art Institute where he will graduate in May 2008 with a BFA from the sculpture department.
